Replaced The Jumpers In MA6600 Integrated-Holy Cow!
Although I was totally satisfied with my MA6600, we all like to tweak. I purchased a pair of Audioquest Cable Jumpers. Replacing the stock jumpers for the Audioquest, made a huge difference in the sound, and for the better. After I made the switch I immediately noticed a much deeper bass and a clearer midrange which were both already terrific before the switch.
My wife asked me if I jacked up the bass as she said she could hear it better. Although my system uses very good wires already (Groneberg and Shunyata), this 29.00 pair of cables made a major difference. Who would have thought a 3 inch long cable could make my system go from terrific to amazing? |

Wow. Do you have a pic of the new beauties installed, or the exact model please? Got a MA-6600 too so immediately tempted to give it a go and tweak a bit

Tweaking is fun - especially if it costs less than what I might spill on a good night!

It's probably these from Audioquest:
I use Jena Lab Dussy jumpers in my MA7000. It sounds wonderful but I never tried the stock jumpers.

I also tried jumpers from Jena Labs in my MAC6700 and noticed some immediate improvement in bass playback. A modest price for a great product, too

Apologies for my ignorance - What are the jumpers for?

As you can see in this photo, the short, black horizontal jumpers are bridging the preamp outputs to the power amp inputs. This gives you the option to use either the preamp section to a separate power amp, or the power amp to a separate preamp. Or it can be used to insert the MEM220 room correction component between the pre and power. I'm sure it has other uses but those are the ones that come to mind.
