Default Audio Research LS15 on the way.

I have been looking to try a tube line stage in my main rig, and found a ARC LS15 that I'm excited about. It is not the LS26 that was my target, but is pristine, and fits my current budget more comfortably, considering my daughter's upcoming wedding. It will replace a Aragon Aurum preamp which I have been very pleased with. Since my SACD player has balanced outputs, and my crossovers have balanced inputs this should work in the main rig splendidly, and it should be interesting to see how it compares to the ARC SP14 I recently sold. It will be nice to have a remote as well.
Happy Holidays,
Jim

Congrats, Jim...glad you found something that suits! Do you have it, yet, or do you have that anxious waiting period ahead of you?

Edit...I guess the thread title answers my question. Hope you have it, soon!

We will see how well it fits once inserted in the main rig. I have found that used Audio Research Gear in pristine condition bought sensibly is an investment that is easily liquidated to move further up the food chain.

Jim.......Great buy. I looked at that very preamp last week in my constant search of available quality gear. I believe this preamp will please you. Congratulations.

Jim....congrats on a very nice preamp. If I were a bettin' man, I'd say the cabinet shown is a Crown cabinet (model 5R I believe) that was designed for their IC150A preamp, or their D150A power amp. I have this identical cabinet on my vintage Crown IC150A preamp; I purchased both preamp and cabinet in 1977. These were very nice cabinets and nice examples of them are rather hard to find these days. The cabinet shown here looks to be in mint condition.

Your ARC preamp looks very nice in it....is the cabinet coming with the preamp?
