Anyone know any good FREE online virus protection?

I used to use Trend Micro. Used it for years. But then my IT guy switched everything to Windows Defender (sic) that's included with the Windows operating system. All things equal, he was quite pleased with Microsoft's protection and thought it was as good as Trend Micro. So, I switched and cut down on my software costs.

I use Norton 360 myself. It works and if I have a problem I have experienced good support from them - which is important to me. I haven't had a problem with it being a resource hog but YMMV. As for free, I would check out Avast and AVG. I believe they both have a 4.5 star rating from CNET. I think AVG is more popular.

I was a big AVG fan, but no more. Talk about pushy! MS Defender does the basics very well, and it's already included.
