WOW! - no extra money. Good deal for you.

Very nice looking table with the 3D arm. Which size arm is that?

It is the 10.5". The 12" was available for $2K more.

Do you happen to know if the 12inch version is a larger plinth or what it would require for us to put a 12 inch arm on the Aries? I opted for a 10.5" as well

Harry told me two arms could be mounted on the Aries but would take some modifying. I do not know the specifics of mounting the 12" version but it can be done. Harry or Mat at VPI could let you know what is required. It would go on the same plinth.

As you can see from my pic of the Cadenza Black (great MC BTW) I still have a bit of adjusting to do. I am finding this cartridge prefers to be a bit tail-down. And, I have not found any problems with the Aries sitting on my marble-topped console - I may not need a platform but I will need a cover (Stereo Squares brand).
Well, this past weekend I had a bit of issue with feedback/rumble through the TT when I had my pre volume at 75%. I rarely listen at that level but when I do I don't want any extraneous noises. I have opted for a 2.5" think layered birch platform with bamboo edging that I ordered from Audiophile Vibration Control. The size will be made so that my acrylic lid will sit upon the cork layer on the platfrom and leave the bamboo edge exposed. Us audiophiles can be such suckers sometimes. I wonder if P.T. Barnum would be in the audiophile business if he was alive today?

Kevin.......I have my Michell Gyro SE sitting on a maple Boos Block with four Symposium Fat Padz supporting the Boos Block. I have zero vibration issues and no feedback at any volume level.

Very nice set up Dan. Did you ever run your Michell without a platform?
