Default TdF

Great to see a Frenchman leading the 100th TdF. Been a great race thus far.
Tomorrow in the mountains should be interesting.

Yep, that's my sport numero uno. Two mountain ranges to go, Thomas must be worried. Will the blighty make it ?

Think Thomas has a great chance due to the weakness of Alaphilippe's team. If Alaphilippe can sit on Thomas' wheel then he may survive. If he can be made to chase then his game could well be up. Perhaps the French will work together (Pinot, Bardet, etc.) in this 100th year.......... but I'll guess not.

Well.......... turns out that Thomas needed Alaphilippe's wheel and couldn't hang on (like so many today). Congrats to them all. That was one vicious day on the bike.

Without Froome, Team Ineos/Sky looks weak.

His injury absence has certainly opened the door, but Thomas is the defending winner from last year, but also had an injury which mean't he couldn't fine tune his race preparation either. Froome built his whole season on peaking for the TDF however.

Thomas is the defending winner, but Froome was third after winning the Giro in dramatic fashion.

Froome also had won three Grand Tours in a row, I think four was a bit much to ask for.

Thomas looked better today, it probably helped with the cooler weather.

I have followed the TdF for 25 years and this year is absolutely amazing so far, one of the best in a long time. Would love to see a french victory this year! Alaphilippe is a wonderful cyclist but for now I bet my money on Pinot. Landa is always strong the last week but he will not gain 3-4 minutes on Pinot/Thomas/Alaphilippe/Kruijswijk.

Absolutely agree......... best TdF in many years. Everything off-script. No super-dominant team(s). Moviestar looked the best, but everyone shelled but Landa. Yes........ another great day. Alaphilippe survived by a good margin and Pinot looked great. They've all earned their day off. Think we'll see PRAT D'Albis again in other tours. The Alps await.
