Thanks, Dan. Since it has its own volume control and I'm not running any other source components in the second system, I plan to have the MR74 feed the amp directly.

Yes, Dan, I'll be interested in hearing how an essentially direct feed sounds. The problem now (for my wallet, that is) is that, having explained it to my wife, she's indicated interest in having a similar setup for her home office--which means another 74 or 77 plus amp (fortunately, I have enough speakers around to cover the rest).

Jim.......Having a wife who enjoys good sound is a wonderful thing. Set her up a nice tuner, amp, and speaker system. You'll be rewarded in more ways than one, I'm sure.

Way back when we began our relationship, she let me drill holes in her carpet and hardwood floor so I could run Fulton Gold from the speakers to the closet she'd emptied so I could put the electronics there. If you've ever seen Fulton Gold (otherwise usable as suspension cable that could hold up the Golden Gate Bridge), you know why I knew then that she was a keeper.
