[QUOTE=gubab;578283]Here you go, some more pictures:
As you can see there is not much room between the outer limit and the anti scate weight. You have to be a little careful when putting on and removing the outer limit. AMR123, I got my MT 10 together with the outer limit and have listened only with outer limit. I will do some comparison next week, since I will be on the road this weekend.[/QUOT That some precise German engineering. Not much room for error on the design. The space between the weight and arm board look identical. The ring adds a design dimension that clearly sets the MT 10 apart from the field. I'd like to hear your opinion of with and without ring differences when you have a chance. Chow. Last edited by Indytown; 02-07-2014 at 11:52 PM. |

Xuxa, AMR123,
the outer diameter is 34 cm, the inner diameter is 29,8 cm. The width of the ring is 2,1 cm. Weight is 1.5 kg. I checked this on our body scale. Tonight I did some listening and compared. This is the setup: MT10 with Benz Micro LP Cartridge. Mcintosh RCA Cables. C1000P, loading 500 Ohms. Tributaries Clarus Auqa XLR cables (9 m) to MC 601. Sommer cables to B&W Nautilus 802 and RCA cables to 2 B&W DB1 subwoofers. Beforehand I prepared myself to write: Sorry guys, i spent 935 Euros and i can't here any difference - i do not have golden ears maybe its just my incompetence. But then I started listening to Nils Landgren - Eternal beauty- first without outer limit: https://www.actmusic.com/Kuenstler/N...rnal-Beauty-LP I bought the record today, 180g, high fidelity pressing. O.k this sounded really good, but after the first few tracks i put on the outer limit: Honestly, I didn't expect to here much difference, but here you go: I started grinning and dancing through our living room. I ' sorry I cant' define what the difference was: Had the impression with the outer limit a little louder, more like standing in front of the musicians. I checked with SPL meter: One track peek SPL was 4 dB louder with outer limit compared to without. Another track same peek SPL level. Now I disconnected the MC 601 and put my Mc 225 into the chain.... 2 of my 4 children came and joined me listening. We are still listening............. |

It adds a HUGE sense of depth to the sound. I am so used to a huge sense of width but this has added a sense of depth in the same way.
A significant upgrade. Last edited by AM123; 02-21-2014 at 06:35 PM. |

I just confirmed that setting the locater ring flat/parallel with the platter you need to use the mat.
