Anyone can advise on whether I should go for the G2 or G3? My listening room cum bed room is 3.5m x 6.5m x 2.9m.
Wouldn't mind paying for the G2 at all, just worried that the bass would overwhelm the room. Thanks! |

A good dealer will be able to help you out and will probably even let you listen to both in your room. To my ears the G2 is the more "complete" speaker compared to G3, because it is a bit fuller in the bass. Last edited by Nebob; 02-03-2016 at 03:20 AM. |

Nebob, welcome to AudioAficionado!
Good advice. If one can stretch to the G2, why wouldn't he?!

You need to get a demo pair and try it out first should you decide to go with the G2. It will also be the better choice long term if you plan to move them into a larger room later on otherwise the G3's, G4's or even the new B1 decade will probably sound more even and balanced in your room. |

Hi everyone. Thanks for your advice. I initially had a G2 on order, given that its going to be the end of my speaker journey. However, I had changed it to a G3 after some reading up online regarding room size recommendations for the Giya series.
I don't have a choice of dealers unfortunately, being located in Singapore. Guess I should be happy with the G3 given its versatility for the smaller rooms found in my country. Land is really expensive here. Just can't shake that niggling suspicion that I might be happier with the G2, given their cooler looks and possibly better bass. |

I can't say for sure; I have a room that's larger than yours (but not excessively so) and found the G2s pressurized the bass in the room in a way the G3s just couldn't.
But unless you find the G3's bass lacking once you get them run in, I can't think of any other parameter in which you'd find it lacking. |

I've mentioned before, IKEA has a quite familiar looking soft toy right now:
