Right now I like the way my Sony works just I heard one of these and I think it's a far way better than my Sony and roon software is $500
Note does anybody have the both of them?

Would like some help to under stand Right now all my music sits on a hard drive in my windows 7 professional 64 bit computer ripped with DBL power amp. So computer has sent entire library to the Sony computer is now out of the loop. Network hard wired To the Sony Hapz1es which has its own hard dive 1tb I use an app downloaded to talk to the Sony. If I get ps audio and say get roon and a nas drive do I need to install roon on my computer. and then does my iPad talk to the PS audio or does the PC need to be on. I don't want to leave the Pc on. I am a bit lost as you can tell!!!

As I mentioned in the other thread, Roon is a pretty complex piece of software.

So it needs a fairly high-spec PC to run on. It can also run on a NAS - which is after all just a custom computer designed for disc storage and serving files. But the NAS needs to be a pretty high end model.

Roon Knowledge Base - Roon Server on NAS

FWIW if you want the most out of yr Roon system, you should also subscribe to something like TIDAL so you can browse and extend your listening beyond only the music in your own library - something which Roon handles/catalogs very well.
