While I'm in agreement with the reviewer's opinion of the B60R's performance (its terrific) I think his opinion on its looks borders on total BS. I owned a B60R with a built-in phono-stage (was told when I ordered it ~20yr ago that it was the first one with a phono-stage - James, was it the only one?). While I prefer the front-panel and knobs of the original, I find the new facia/knob treatment to be very nice. But, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If you are looking for a small-form-factor integrated amp with stunningly good performance, look no further. Should be Class A on Stereophile.

And, if my B60R decided to stop working it would still be in warranty.

Was a Bryston Dealer about 15 years ago. Sold a few B60's and they all sounded great. Paired with efficient Dual Concentric Tannoy's the B60 made some very serious sound! I'm not surprised that it is still in the line up as it packs a lot of great sound in a very small and unobtrusive package. I'm not in agreement with the reviewers opinion of the aesthetics either - it looks great and is very "minimalist" in its appearance.

Nope! I have one also. I bought it a couple of years when I downsized - phono stage is a cracker. At normal listening levels the B60 sounds about as good as anything I've heard regardless of price -- makes me wonder why people spend $$ on hi fi.

Running with a pair of Harbeth SHL5+ speakers and an Esoteric K-05x.

The worst thing that can be said about my system is that is sounds like the control room of a recording or broadcast studio. Sure I could use a bit more power occasionally -- but my room is small and the b60 works for 99% of the music I have.

Like you, I like the looks of the B60 as well.

Veloceleste - Too bad you aren't a subscriber so we could communicate. I have a terrific 'vintage' TT that needs a new home. With that user name I would even include a couple of pic's of my Italian bikes (even though they are not Celeste in color).

Used my B60RP with a Shure V15MxVR for many (10?) years and it was a terrific match. It is definitely worthy of a decent cartridge.

We are back from some time on the French Riviera and caught parts of the last 2-days of the Paris-Nice race. Bianchi still supplies at least one team and the bikes are still celeste in color.

As a long-term owner of a B-60R, I've missed the sound since selling mine over 10yr ago. I ran across a nice one a couple of weeks ago and got it back into the system yesterday. Even though rated for only 60wpc, its sound is still the sound I prefer and I'll be selling the rest of my preamps/amps and keeping the B-60R. It is so clean, quick & clear sounding to my ears that I've never found anything to match. I've always wondered if it isn't the fact that the B-60R only uses a single pair of output transistors per channel. Whatever, it is 'match made in audio heaven' for my ears.
