I got my new Universal this afternoon WOW ! it came with KT88s they bring my Klipsch K510 speakers to a whole next level in sound. That I thought could not be possible. I can not wait to get my Li Audio F15s back together (new bigger baffles). Dennis also gave me a Sylvania 6BX7GT driver tube to try, along with the 6SL7GT. He told me to ask Bearcity about the 6BX7GT driver tube.

from the Tube Store. The 6BX7 is a fine tube and it won't break the bank. |

I am new to this, what would the different rectifier tube do to the sound? I was reading that the rectifier tube does not change the sound. Maybe bad article LOL rmlowz |

I'm not familiar with the JJ 5U4G. IMHO, rectifiers do change the sound as does any tube change. Just trust your ears. Since you are new to tubes, purchase them from a reputable dealer.

I own several versions of Dennis Had Inspire amps. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with using the GZ32 rectifier in these amps?

I have a JJ GZ34. Don't use it much, but it sounds the same in my amp as all of my other GZ34s. Have heard they have longevity issues.
