While waiting on the replacement top platform for the Cloud 11, I'm also returning to contemplation of a system reconfiguration, as I still wonder if the Sanus Euro rack will gain a bit of stability by being shorter. The hope is to avoid any additional purchases should the Cloud 11 later prove to be an incomplete solution to the footfall issues I've had; so far, so good though.

The middle shelf's 8" pillars can be swapped out for 5" ones, and what I would then do is remove my Aragon 47k phono preamp (1994!) since the 5" shelf space would be too short for both it and my VPI SDS. I don't know if the 3" shorter Sanus rack will be any more stable, but Mr. Vu didn't pooh-pooh the idea when I mentioned it to him. It won't hurt, and it may be a visual improvement, so why not? The next step would be to re-tube the C2300's phono section and use it instead (tubes in-house already). Removing the 47k also allows me to replace the 1m WW Stratus on my Furman Elite 15-PFi (already removed from my signature in anticipation) with the Transparent HPPC on the Aragon's IPS power supply now. Thus, I save the expense of buying another PC. I have PS Audio Jewel ACs I could use, but don't need the extra length's clutter (the Jewels are 1.5m and 2m), plus I think the HPPC's a better cord. I'd prefer a Shunyata Venom HC on the Furman but, again, don't need/want the extra length. I'm not sure how much of a difference this PC swap will make sound-wise, but sound isn't the point.
