But after years of obsessive tube-rolling, I went solid-state. And now I have a Luxman 550AX, which I'm happy with:



I've always liked integrateds, and I'm happy to see a thread about them.

We like it !

Another integrated amplifier I enjoyed was the PrimaLuna ProLogue Premium Integrated Amplifier. I reviewed the sweet tube integrated amp in 2013 for Audio Aficionado.

Very surprising. Not that you like it (though I wasn't a fan of the one I owned) but that it needed such extensive repairs.
Still very pleased with my recently recapped Cary SLI-80. Every time I think I need something else I do an intensive listening test and come away wondering why I would change.

Within the last year, PrimaLuna DiaLogue Premium, Plinius Hautonga(traded) and now Luxman L590ax. I could not bring myself to sell the PrimaLuna so it's now part of a second system. I can't see changing the Luxman for any reason. Pure Class A power, balanced inputs, MC and MM phono stages, tone controls and headphone amp. Plus meters!!!
