Really content right now and very pleased with the recent addition of the REL R528 (recently purchased from fellow AA member).

I adore the combo. Really couldn't be happier with them. I love having everything at my fingertips using the iPad2. I spent a whole lot of time ripping everything to flash and hard drives using DBPoweramp software, but it is so nice not having to load CDs any longer. They of course also sound wonderful. I also enjoy downloading the higher resolution stuff from HDTRACKS and the like. I'm running both connections (AES/EBU and SPDIF) between them - both Bryston brand cables, though I typically prefer the AES/EBU for most material overall. On some recordings the SPDIF connection reveals more air and depth however. Last edited by Bavarian05; 08-02-2012 at 07:26 PM. |

How do you feel about the sub integration with the mains? I have a Strata 5 and I find it just muddies the bass of my 804s. I find it lacks the detail and speed of the B&Ws woofers. The 528 is alot more powerful than the Strata 5 (150w) but i had understood that the Strata 5 was primarily designed for music. I now just use it for movies.
Very nice gear and a dedicated room which is pretty much ideal. |

Beautiful room & gear & its neat & tidy -- all business. You pass inspection and receive a 3 day pass.
