Is it worth putting a 3D tonearm
On an Original Aries. Or should I just upgrade to a different table. A lot of people swear by the Aries 1 so I'm confused on what to do.

Not a lot 'wrong' with even the older Aries, I'd be trying the 3D arm. By what's been written about it, it's a good upgrade and one you can of course take with you if you upgrade the table later.

I came to a Classic 3 from an Aries 1. I thought the classic was a big improvement in every way. The background is WAY blacker. That was the most striking difference, I didn't know records could be that quiet. The aries was maybe a little warmer, darker, which I did enjoy on bright records. I feel like the classic is more neutral. That being said when I added the 3d arm I was very impressed. Much smoother, more flow. There is a difference in the tonearm wire though so it is not apples to apples. Though I think the aries may have had discovery wire not sure. I would definitely try the 3d arm. The Aries is certainly up to the task.
