Default A nice look back ...........

For the Corvette Racing enthusiasts in the group this is a nice look back 20 years to the mighty C5.R

https://www.corvetteforum.com/articl...t-paul-ricard/

and this reminds me, for those that are in to sports car racing and are 'old enough to remember' , you really owe it to yourself to take in Vintage weekend at Watkins Glen. It's the weekend after Labor Day every year. A great venue .......

Good post Dave. That was an enjoyable partner to my morning coffee.

Thanks, Dave.
Amazing, the "state of the art" in 1960. Was surprised to see them running the quad headlights with the older rear on those Corvettes. And fuel injection. And no seat-belts. My first car with factory seat-belts was a '69 SS Chevelle. Non-retractable, so were a ptia. Can't imagine racing at those speeds and cornering without seat-belts.
