B&W in BMW
Anyone has compared the Mark Levinson in Lexus or other makes against the 800 series in the new BMWs?
So far, the ML has been the best IMHO. Haven't heard the BWs yet. The Burmester is a big let down, at least in the C Class. |

I should be able to give you this answer in a few weeks as my Lexus has ML in it (which I love) and I have a BMW on order that has the diamond series sound system. My car will be arriving in 2-3 weeks.

I have the ML in my lexus as well and it is the best I have heard so far. I find the system to be better in the IS than the RX. |

I used to have a Lexus LX with a ML system. It was ok but nothing to write home about. Granted that was years ago so maybe they have learned a thing or two. Spending tons of money for a stereo inside a sports car presents a conundrum because more often than not, you want to hear the engine rather the music.

I had an LX570 Lexus SUV with the ML system. Still think it's the best car audio system I've owned.

How is the Burmester in the C a let down? I love mine.

I compared both ML in the lexus IS against it back to back with the same cd. Both without equaliser.
The ML had hifi qualities whereas the Burmester in the C pales in comparison. |

Have the B&O in my BMW X6 M and it sounds good. Not as good as the Burmester that was in my 911 Turbo but sold that car so that very expensive audio system is gone. Thinking about it ... that was my most expensive audio system ever! :-)
