I spent about an hour listening to a variety of familiar classical, jazz, and choral program. My initial takeaway: It decisively improves center-image focus, bass presentation in both heft and definition, soundstage depth, and the rendering of dynamic contrast. Color me blown-away. Which means I'll be doing more "redecorating" of the bedroom walls, a piece or two at a time. So stand by, Ivan.

Congratulations. I found they are like Lays potato chips, you can’t just eat (have) one. They are magical.

Second potato chip is now out of the bag and doing its thing. Its impact is such (as Ivan predicted) that I'll have to rearrange the pictures on that wall to restore some semblance of esthetic balance. (Edited with new photo showing rearranged picture placement.)

Oh, and I've just ordered a third potato chip.

Several years back when I was experimenting with Aperture placement, Paul Wakeen suggested first removing any other acoustic panels before placing the Apertures.

I spent a few months trying the Apertures in different positions and then experimenting with some of my prior panels brought back into the room to see what combinations and placements worked best.

Have any of you tried the Apertures without other treatments before settling on final placement?
