Question D3 crossover or internal wire upgrades?

Anyone seen or know of any upgrades to the D3? With the crossovers being easier to access I'd have to think somewhere a change has been made? Maybe an active crossover such as with the Nautilus?

I have seen crossover upgrades for older Matrix speakers from the 80s, even mention of those swapping caps on the Nautilus 800 series and D1/D2 speakers. Haven't seen much for D3s

803 crossover

There is so little wire and those are such high-grade parts I wouldn't think anyone would bother. Can't imagine B&W would cheap-out on 10ft of wire at that point.

Yea I don't know what happened to the title of the thread, I will chalk it up to late night posting. I wasn't thinking about just the wire, but rather the "guts as a whole" without he crossover etc.

Caps on the right are Mundorf. Excellent audio caps. Not sure about the one marked B&W on the left, but likely something like Panasonic or Nichicon or Xicon. All high quality caps. As for the chokes, feel sure they are wound to B&W's specs, so also quality pieces. Think trying to upgrade a D3 x-over would result in something different, but not necessarily better.

The one on the left, green cap is a weak cap on the 803. That was upgraded on the 802D3.
