Nothing really. There were many nice products over the years that found their way into my system but time and technology doesn't stand still. I may have fond memories of several products but they have no place in my set-up.

No regrets here either. Plenty of gear of various brands came and went over the years and each was special in it's own way. I've enjoyed my time with them and have fond memories of some but can't say I regret letting it go, I am not a collector.

Nestorovic NA-1 monoblocks, beautifully transparent amplifiers but due to a change of speakers they were no longer powerful enough. Sad to see them go though.

No regrets here either; lots of pieces served me well and then served me well again when they were sold off to help fund upgrades.

Of course, for me, these are not serious regrets but, rather, nostalgic desires. I really prized these items and disposed of them for reasons that now seem poor. What I really would like is to have a chance to hear them again from the perspective of today.

Kal.......I agree, regret is a bit of a misnomer, when in fact it is actually nostalgia for a component I grew to truly enjoy but parted with anyway. I have been a long time tuner aficionado and have owned many through the years. There are a few I let go that I wish I still had in my stable, particularly the McIntosh MR74 I sold to Vintage Pete. I miss that tuner.

Default Fun

Dan,
Thanks for starting this thread. It’s been fun. Judging by the posts here you could build a hell of a system with everything we’ve once owned!

I think nostalgia is a good way to describe some of this older gear. Like my B&O turntable - it is a nice piece but what I have now will run circles around it sound wise.

Tom
