You can't really compare different era's in sports. The athletes of today are so much bigger and faster.

Actually I'd take the Giants with L.T. anyday. Only defensive player able to change the outcome of every game.

Best defense always wins over best offense.

Gee, I wonder who was the defensive coordinator of the Giants then.

The Giants were good, but they only won two championships and the last one was with Hostetler at QB. Not what you would call a franchise QB.

I could have coached Lawrence Taylor. See the quarterback, destroy the quarterback.

I’m a Rams fan and if you had told me we would hold the Patriots to 13 points, I would have expected to win by at least 2 touchdowns. The Patriots deserved to win, but the Rams offense missed some big play opportunities they had made all year. The only play that really bothered me in the whole game is the Rams running the ball on 3rd and 22 from their own 30. I think there was only 10 minutes left in the game and the Rams were 2nd in the league in plays over 20 yards. Have no idea what they were thinking. If you don’t trust your qb in that situation, then he shouldn’t be playing

“Aaron Donald’s a great football player, but I wouldn’t put anybody ahead of Lawrence Taylor,” Belichick said. “Lawrence did it all for 13 years. He dominated. . . .Taylor’s the best player I’ve ever seen, certainly the best one I’ve ever coached.”

I guess Brady doesn't rank.

agreed, point taken, but then there is a whole generation of Habs fans that have not seen a championship. Montreal's last cup was 26 years ago ! The Yankees have never gone that long.

while true, we still do !

But I think when done it should be as to where the team(s) compare and dominate within their respective era as well as the players.

Great players are just that, regardless of generation. Jim Brown, played only nine seasons but never missed a game............

Look up Portnoy and Barstool Sports and look for the most entertaining part of halftime.
