How do they compare to your IRS-V's Gary, or for that matter the S5's?

I thought the 2.2jr were really excellent speakers, but I didn't leave the show at all wanting to change what I have.
I haven't heard the Magicos and I rarely go around to dealers just to listen anymore. |

Gary, you are in a good place with your system. I was in a good place with my Gen II's. I knew they were far from perfect but I overlooked their flaws and enjoyed them greatly.

Charles, great to hear of your enjoyment of the Gen II's. From what I read in reviews, the main challenge (aside from speaker placement) was getting the stage height right. No mind, few speakers are perfect. You can look for things they are not doing perhaps as well as other speakers. If you spend too much time doing that you'll go crazy! But if you sit back, relax, and get out of your head, you may find as I did the speakers evoke an emotional response and awaken your inner child. When music takes you on a journey, kindles your heart and puts a smile on your face, why worry about the rest?
