Hey Ivan, I have always wondered, which amps and how many power your McIntosh speakers in your Florida and Cape Cod home theater rooms? I see that the front three speakers are designed with 3 separate sections, Low, Mid and High thus a single pair of speaker cables are not possible to feed the speakers, they must have at least 3 pairs per speaker. They appear to have passive crossovers rather than external active crossovers so do you find there is really much improvement by going beyond 1 amp per section?

Rod... The XRT2K's and XCS2K can be driven with a single amp; along with the use of jumpers. I have first hand experience knowing that these speakers perform best when Tri-amped & Tri-wired.

In the Cape, I use 3 MC1.2KW's on each channel. In Florida, I use 1 MC2KW and 2 MC1.2KW's on each channel.

In summary; Florida has 4400 watts per channel, Cape Cod has 3600 watts per channel.
