I decided to pick up a six pack of this to try out yesterday:

Looks like Bell's Hopslam has been released for this year. This is a beer for the big boys with an overabundance of hops that stays on the tongue all the way down. It has a bit of honey added to mellow things out just a tad. At 10% alcohol by volume, it only takes a few to get your groove on...

I have had them both here and at Lowlanders in London where the bottles are all in Belgian.

St Bernardus is also a favorite along with Pirate Ale and several others.

I have not had that one but while in London, I visited the Cornwall Pasty Shop and unlike all the other pubs serving Fullers and the norm, they had only Cornish Ales. I found I liked those so much more. One of the better ones was this

Betty Stoggs
Named after an unkempt and lazy character in Cornish folklore and made by Skinner’s Brewery based in Truro. A mid strength amber bitter with plenty of hoppy overtones and is suitably recognised as a good quaffing ale.

I picked up a few bottles of this since it was on sale. I like brown ales so decided to give it a try.

Dry hopped Beer is best. The hoppier the better.
