Definitely.

He says it's a "work space" and by turning off lights and playing music he makes all the mess disappear.

He apparently is able to hear things that no one else can. In an interview a few years back he said he could hear the difference between record cleaning fluids.

The other good insight I got from the video was about the significance of physical media.

Fremer said that every time he grabs an LP from his shelf it takes him back to when / where he bought it bringing back all the associated memories. With downloads you'll never have that experience and ultimately you'll be left with nothing to show for your collection.

I only have CDs and SACDs and I can identify with that feeling of taking me back every time I play a disc. It's an important intangible that add to the pleasure of enjoying the music.

Buck.......Thanks for the link. That was an interesting personal look at Michael Fremer. His Dylan impression was quite good.

Seems like a great guy. What a bunch of cool life experiences he has through this hobby of ours. He has met some interesting people, is very knowledgeable and highly respected in the industry. He certainly deserves to have a much nicer listening room , maybe its time to leave NJ

Enjoyed it very much and glad that it put a person to the name at last, at least for me.

I thought it was one of the more entertaining videos I've seen about a reviewer many of us read and either like or dislike. I met Michael here in Atlanta at our premier high end dealer last year, we talked for awhile, pretty interesting guy. I know he may rub some people (and critics) the wrong way (yeah I wasn't laughing at his stroke guy impression either) but lets face it, how many people out there are really passionate and making a case for how great the hobby is? Not many. If there were a lot more industry experts going the extra mile for high end audio, it may be in a bit different place than it is now.

Default 40 minutes at home with Michael Fremer

I couldn't get past his dog barking. I like Michael and dogs.
