Default MA7200 Integrated Amplifier & MAC7200 Receiver

"McIntosh, who have been producing audio for over 65 years, has announced the MA7200 Integrated Amplifier and MAC7200 Receiver.

MA7200 Integrated Amplifier (Available exclusively for countries outside the US and Canada) has 200 Watts per channel and 14 total inputs, McIntosh say: “the space-saving MA7200 Integrated Amplifier can easily become the core of a 2-channel home audio system”.

Seems to be an 'updated' MA6600 with two fewer knobs and a bunch fewer buttons and considerably more digital 'stuph' inside. Think I'll stay with the MA6600, though the MC cartridge input would be nice.

I got that email earlier today, just looking through the 7200 manual now. The tuner section appears to be different than the MR88 as it is just AM/FM only, no XM or HD. The multipath meter is a nice addition, but still the same 3 segment strength meter as on the MR88. I am interested in more information on that tuner section, they seem to really talk it up on the website. I wonder if a new standalone tuner could be in the works?

Since I discovered tunein.com, and the ability to stream my favorite FM stations around the country, I have not owned a separate tuner in my audio system.

I believe it streams MP3-quality sound and offers me all my local FM stations in the DC-Baltimore area, as well as stations from Philly, NYC, Chicago and Southern California.

...and did I mention that it's free!

That sounds arbitrarily ridiculous.

The same with the MA6700 integrated amp (outside of U S A). The MAC 6700 was US market

I wonder if the website is reporting incorrect information about these two new products?

It would seem that the integrated should be offered worldwide, while the receiver would only work on U.S. radio stations.

The info on the McIntosh website seems a little "backwards"?

Tuner formats are not the same in NA and ROW. Do you want to purchase a tuner that does not work correctly?

What is the idea of MA7200 and MAC7200 compared to MA8900?
