Will the EAT 12AX7 fit in the 2300 with the shields? Is there anywhere to get them for less than 225.00 each?

I would love to see what the 2300 looks like with the EATs with the cooler. is there any way we can see a picture of the tubes installed with the cooler?

Thanks

I had no trouble getting the EAT tubes into the C2300. I don't use that stabilizer bar. I've got tube dampers built into the EAT and use Herbie's dampers on the other tubes. I haven't looked inside in a while but I think the stabilizer bar might not work with the EATs.

Just curious, does any one see a problem with my doing this? The sound is great.

Would the Herbies dampers work on the golden lion tubes? Can you please provide a link to the Herbies dampers?

Thanks

Mike.......I don't see any problem with leaving the tube support bar removed from the C2300. I believe its primary purpose is to keep the tubes secure in their sockets and upright during transport. It is so easy to remove and replace the support bar that I have not thought of leaving it off. It would be too easy for me to misplace it.
