Gigo.......After unplugging the C2300, remove the top cover. You will see the six tubes with a black metal bar across the top of them. At the top edge of the metal bar on each end you will find a single black Philip's head screw. Remove this screw on each end of the support bar and lift the support bar off the tubes. Remove the tubes you wish to replace wearing a rubber or cotton glove to keep finger oil from getting on the tube glass. When inserting the new tubes line the pins on the tube with the holes in the tube socket, and press the tube down until it is properly seated. Replace the black support bar, reinstall the screw on each side that secures the support bar to the braces that hold it, and reinstall the preamp's top cover. That's it.

Be advised there are two versions of the C2300 when it comes to the removal of the cover. The screws on mine were removed using a #10 Torx screwdriver- my version has only two screws on top and two more at the back and two on the right side.--I "loosened" the two on the right side after removing the 4 from the top and cover slides right out. Dan was very helpful in my first tube "roll"--just curious what brand tubes are you installing?

Has any one else tried the EAT tubes for their C2300? I found them simply stunning. Rich, textured, great soundstage.

I use the EAT in my Moving Coil section and GL in the output. Love the combo. I found the EAT's to be smoother and quieter in the phono section. Deeper background and more revealing than the GL. I had GL in the MC section and when I switched to the EAT's there has been a big difference. I tried EAT in the output, but liked the GL in the output, better. Just my experience.
