opinions of Sasha 2's in a smaller room?
I would like to hear opinions of the Sasha 2's in a smaller room 12' x 16' x 8 foot ceilings. Room is heavily treated with absorption, bass traps and deflection. Electronic would be Krell Evolution One and Two's.

shpritz, since your room is already heavily treated I think you will be ok, unless you listen at concert volume levels.

No I don't listen to music at concert levels. Mostly Jazz, Blues, easy listening. Never really cranked up to uncomfortable levels.

I used to have the Sasha 2 in a room that was about 1/2 foot smaller in width.
First off they sounded great. I had no treatment. I did have to pull them about 2 ft from the back wall and about 1.5 from the side walls. Unfortunately the room turned into a shared use room when my son was born two years ago so I ended up trading in for a pair of duettes 2 to give me more flexibility in placement and more easily movable. Really I don't listen to music with a lot of bass so I don't actually miss the difference. Ymmv. I think if you have a dedicated room and treatment you should be fine with Sasha.

I have Sasha 1s in a 12-1/2 x 19-1/2. Before acoustic treatment, my room was very bright. That surprised me. However, since then I installed 4 panels from GIK; 2 freestanding bass panels and 2 alpha panels.
All is good now, although I doubt I will ever quit monkeying around with one thing or another. I really don't think you will have a problem so long as you are free to treat acoustically and place them in the best location. Hope this helps. |
