I have the version by John Butt on Linn that seems to be out-of-print. I played it and it left me wanting so I think I'll try the Faust version.

I liked it a lot.

Mine is a hi-res download from E-classical--presumably an advance copy.

Sticking to this nice box set...

Decca Sound: Dutoit · Montréal
Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal, Charles Dutoit

Disc 33 is dedicated to Rhapsodies by Liszt, Dvorak, Enescu, Glazunov and Alfven. Vigorous music played with panache by the crack Montréal ensemble. The 1995 Decca recording is robust and weighty.

From Wikipedia:
Quote:
A rhapsody in music is a one-movement work that is episodic yet integrated, free-flowing in structure, featuring a range of highly contrasted moods, colour and tonality. An air of spontaneous inspiration and a sense of improvisation make it freer in form than a set of variations.

John, joining you with the Freiburger Barockorchester, directed by Gottfried von der Goltz.

Mozart - Piano Concertos K 413 - K 415
Kristian Bezuidenhout, fortepiano

Excellent performances.
I've seen both forces (the orchestra and the piano player) live on different occasions, and it was a real treat.
