Well I think everyone has said it. I'd rather think in terms of the good memories. Saw the Eagles back around 1980 at crisler arena in Ann Arbor. A pretty small venue and I had great seats. One of the best sounding concerts I have been to. This was The Long Run tour right after randy meisner left the group. Don Felder and Joe Walsh were with the band. Glenn Frey came out...with short hair!!! A big deal back then. Haha. Great show ... Great memory. What else can someone ask for a legacy. Memories in the hearts of millions.

A true legacy in the Rock world - very talented individual that brought the best out of the musicians that played with him. Steely Dan was a inspiration for Hotel California.
The steely knives just can't kill the beast.

Yeah- Many already said it. This one really made me think. Saw them in Albany, and dare I have this wrong, in 2001? I believe it was the Hell Freezes Over tour. Till this day, the most money I have ever spent on 2 concert tickets. Performance combined with sound quality, perhaps the best concert I've ever attended. It was Joe, Timothy B, Don, and Glenn. I'm Embarrassed to say, I didn't know the name of the 5th guy. It was not Don Felder. I will never forget how this guy totally nailed the guitar solo on Hotel California.
What a show, and quite frankly, worth the near $200 price of admission. I was in the 4 or 5th row of what was then called the Pepsi Arena. RIP Glenn. |

A bit light on my facts, so just for the record.... Saw them in 2003 at the then called Times Union Arena, Albany NY. My research tells me the guitarist I was referring to is Steuart Smith. And of course I was wrong on the Hell Freezes Over tour, as that was in the mid 90's. The 2003 tour is now referred to as Farewell tour 1 (-:
