Default Shunyata V1 NR and EF

I apologize if this was covered previously. I am trying to better understand the sonic differences between the Sigma V1 NR and EF cables. I have a Denali 6000S v2 and was using an Alpha NR from the wall to the Denali. I replaced it with a Sigma EF to take advantage of the favorable pricing on used Sigma cables now that V2s are available. I decided to go with a Sigma EF as I read that with a Denali, the NR may not be needed. My initial observation on the Sigma EF is that although there may be more detail compared to the Alpha NR, the mids and highs seem to be more forward and a bit more pronounced. I prefer a warmer and more laid back sound which makes me wonder if the Sigma NR would have been a better choice for me. Or would you recommend an Alpha NR V2?

Thank you in advance..

Your observations are consistent with my experience with the XC power cords for power distributors. If you've just installed the EF, you may want to give it some time and hours to settle and see if it "softens out" a bit. It might sound fine to you in 5-7 days time if you just installed it.

My understanding is the NR filter in the NR PCs has a very slight softening effect when directly compared to the presentation of an EF or XC power cable. So, if you prefere a slightly warmer, more laid-back sound, this might be a good choice for you.

The Alpha NR v2 is amazing, the Sigma NR v2 even more so. Can't go wrong with either.
