When you see the warning “the community etc”, does it also show “YES” in a banner just below that text box?
If it does, what happens when you click on the YES? IF you get that far and click on the YES, it should open your Photos folder on your iOS device. From there you just choose the photo. Where in those steps are you getting stuck?

Instead of "Yes" in the reply box my iPad (6th generation) says "OK". And when I click it nothing happens. It just goes back to the message..."the community has disabled Photo Sharing..." etc. Then when I click the picture icon (second from the left at the left hand, bottom of the reply box) it goes back to the same message. Like I said above, I'm going in circles. I can't get past the message..."the community has disabled Photo Sharing...etc., etc. When I click it nothing happens.

Just a WAG. It sounds more like an access issue on your iPAD.
Dig around in settings and make sure you have allowed Notifications for Photos. I will dig more on my phone as there may be other settings. Look into your Privacy settings and insure you have granted the AA App ‘Read and Write’ authorizations.

Open settings and scroll down. Privacy is at the bottom of this screenshot. IMG_3526.jpg Click on Privacy and you get to this screen. IMG_3528.jpg Click on Photos and you get here. IMG_3527.jpg Note the AudioAficionado app is set to Read & Write. Don’t know if that will help but it is how my phone is setup.
