Default K03?

I have been considering one the last few weeks.

I listen exclusively to vinyl on a Shindo system.
But I have many classical SACDs.

I debate whether to get a really nice SACD player like the k03 and listen to my SACDs, or get a cheaper oppo 105 and buy more classical vinyl.

I don't know if digital can match the Shindo 301 TT...

That is an impossible decision!….both options have great upside…..

Richard.......Don't torture yourself. Buy the Esoteric K-03 and have the best of both worlds.

Sounds like your gut is telling you to stick with the TT. Keep in mind, digital is going to keep getting better and cheaper at a rapid pace. TT technology isn't going anywhere fast so you know what your getting and it wont be outdated in 3 months.

K03 is a beast. I will agree that digital is getting better. I don't think the high end will get a lot cheaper. The cheaper units oppo etc sound good but do not get near a state of the art player at 10 to 20 k. Like every thing else, you don't get what you don't pay for.

I'm in a similar situation as well. A new OPPO 105 or used high end CD/SACD player.

In case you are still interested and you did not see this, Ivan is selling a BNIB K-03 for an attractive price:

The oppo can't compete with the K-03, and yes the TT has to be a very good one to compete with the K-03.
