I ordered the PS Audio outlets today (two of them).

As it turns out, I have a 220 running to my listening room, for a window A/C when the house did not have central air. The run uses 10 gauge with isolated ground and neutral. This is what I'm going to use, and it will cost a lost less than the alternative of running cable up through the walls. Work is going to be done on Thursday.

Dean.......The 220 volt circuit for the air conditioner is useful for your purpose, but understand that the two 20 amp single phase circuits that it can produce with the shared neutral will be out of phase. Since there is only one neutral wire there will be no way to get the two 20 amp single phase circuits to be on the same phase.

I am only doing a single 20 amp circuit.

I want to solve my problem incrementally, rather than spending more than I need to.

Now Im also thinking about rearranging my listening room, moving some things around to open up the space. My big Ikea 5x5 record case will go behind my front speakers (which will move forward), but it will open more of the width of the room. I will also end up putting my turntable bracket on a plaster on brick outside wall. I might consider a new bracket. I have 30 yr. old Target that works fine, but looks pretty beat up. Unfortunately, they seem to be out of production: I wanted to get the two shelf version. I might also just have mine sandblasted and powder-coated to look new again.

I had one of those shelves, it's probably still in the basement somewhere. I used to use two of the mdf platforms on it, the first was on the spikes supplied as part of the platform, then I added some sort of decoupler- hardly state of the art today, but we are talking mid-90's, then the other mdf, on top of which the TT was mounted. Wall shelf isolation is the best if you can do it. Unfortunately, I can't.

I use the MDF sitting on sorbothane pads instead of the spikes. On top of that I have the thick Mapleshade Isoblocks topped with a 4" Maple block I had made locally. The Ovation sits on top of that. If I put the MDF on spikes, the Ovation pumps woofers like crazy, even with a rumble filter.

Do you have any interest in getting rid of your double shelf? I'd be inserted in buying it (assuming it's in good condition). Is it the Target one? Mine is from the mid-80s, but just the single.

I'll have to go routing around in the basement. I'm not sure it is a 'double' shelf, as I remember it had some supports along the side, but a single level for placement of the component. I just created a 'sandwich' if you will, with two piece of the shelving. If I still have it, you are welcome to the frame but the extra shelf probably belongs to another target floor stand- I seem to still have a bunch of those. I will try and look later tonite and let you know. Where are you located?
