2. Exactly what improvement should I be looking for afterwards?

Thanks for the help.
Good questions!
I never heard of this.

This is a tweak that you may want to use. Shipping left and right speakers and having dealers actually deliver them that way rarely works out well.

Thanks again,

Hi Ron,

I'd like a little more information on this as well please. Is doing this similar to using the imaging jumper on the XLS series speakers? What are the implications of doing this with a HT system with a non-XCS center channel (CS350, XR27, etc)? Or does the mirror imaging only impact stereo listening? Is this a benefit to the tweeter dispersion/imaging or is there more to it?

Thanks!

Are you saying there are a left and right LS speaker, and the Dealer often sends (say 2 lefts or 2 rights)??

No, what he was saying was that IF they had produced mirror imaged speakers, the chances are that dealers would have messed it up and sold people two rights or two lefts. As they were produced, it doesn't matter which is right or left.

The wires should be long enough to allow you to flip one speaker's array.

Thanks,
Interesting.
What improvements are LS360 owners stating by doing this?
Small improvement, or something that should be definitely be flipped, even a newbie would notice the sound difference??

Thanks
(My system is 5.1)

I thought the same thing when I read RonC's post...interesting!

I always thought the 5 tweeter bezel array was brilliant
Fascinating the way they're wired (correct me if I'm wrong) tweeter 1 & 5 wired in series, #2 wired out of phase, then series wired 1 & 5 are wired in parallel with 2, 3 & 4.
Anyone know who the engineer(s) were that worked on the Academy speaker series?

This change is easy enough to make, you'll need an allen wrench to remove the glass, then 8 phillips head srews, pull the circuit board with tweeters out & flip it 180 degrees & reinstall.
The change is subtle, I have been listening a fair amount today, but haven't made my mind up if I'll keep it, or put it back..

Looking to hear comments from other LS360 owners who make the change.

Thanks for the tip Ron!

Based on my experience with making the change and doing some brief listening, I would call the difference small but definitely noticeable and positive in terms of having the two speakers in phase and improving the imaging.

Unfortunately I cracked the glass cover of the tweeter array when I was putting it back together I was being extremely careful and it happened when the screw was only halfway in. I am really hoping Mc still has replacement glass for the LS360 still. So a word of warning to my fellow owners who attempt to do this...
