congrats on the rig!
Thanks Dave! Definitely a great man cave. My wife never even goes down there - she thinks its too cold, which it is but I don't mind; keeps the gear cool
I've had that PL400 for about 17 years and it has performed flawlessly and sounds wonderful. No protection circuitry other than thermal and not even a power switch. Its definitely not an amp for novices, as it can quickly take out your speakers if you hook it up wrong or short the outputs.

Yes Jérôme, they are awesome. I'd have to be very sure if I ever upgrade, as they are irreplaceable and absolutely mint.

When are you going to invite me over to your place? We are only 30 min away ~
Thanks Paul! Whenever I get a new addition to my system, I go over it completely and detail it till pristine.

You being in Toronto, its probably more like 45 minutes away, but yeah, you are very welcome to come hang out for a visit sometime. Let's work something out.

I'm not using my Marantz tuner right now. It needs some service, and I really should get it done as they are very collectable and quite the eye candy.

Very kind of you to say, Chubba! I don't know if I've seen your system, but I'd love to. Throw me a link.

You have a very good system. You are lucky to have a private/no unauthorized entry room to enjoy it.

What does the Phase 400 drive?

Thanks Michael! I'm a longtime KEF fan. Prior to the RDM3 I had the vintage Concertos with the original race track B139 bass drivers and I must admit there was something almost magical about the sound of those speakers. They were definitely colored but in a very pleasant way; a big fat warm woody sound that was unique.

Thank you GaryProtein! I'm not running the PL400 right now and I actually have it up for sale but I'm not overly enthused about letting it go. I've considering it for a second system or used with a passive sub along with the KEFs but I'd need an active crossover dividing around 40 hrz. With its massive dampening factor of 1000, it would be tough to beat a Phase Linear in the bass region.
