Something to think about... eventually, you will replace your unit with something else. Since your Sony has all your music saved in its internal drive, you want to make sure that you keep an up to date copy of all your music somewhere when that time comes. Of course you can always copy your music from the Sony unit somewhere, but if you have a lot of music, it can take a while.

I have not been able to use the iPhone app to control my units for months now. Even after installing the update, I still cannot connect to the units. :Frustrating:

I'm sure you have but it's work asking anyway...have you tried deleting the app and reinstalling? Last edited by Cohibaman; 02-28-2017 at 09:55 PM. |

I suggest that too. Also If you have a tablet, try and download the HDD app to that tablet and try it. If it works, then you know that the problem is that your phone app got corrupted somehow. |

I have deleted and reinstalled the app on both iPhone 7 and iPad Pro. Just did it again after installing the updated software on two of my three units. I simply cannot get either of the apps to recognize the units.

Make sure that the phone wifi is on and that both the Sony and your phone are on the same wifi network. You may have more than one network in the house (one for guests for example) and if for whatever reason the phone and the Sony are connected to different networks you could experience the problem you are having.

Yes, that's true. I've checked that, and they're all on the same network.

Have you checked that you have installed the latest firmware in the Sony? That would be my last suggestion!

Yep, did that a little while ago.
So, I've updated the unit software; deleted and reinstalled the app on both iPhone and iPad; rebooted both iPhone and iPad; rebooted network; and checked to make sure wifi is on and everything is on the same network. Still cannot get a connection. Any other suggestions? Has anyone else had this problem?
