MX150 - VP1000 HD-video connection
I need 2 HDMI output zones.
This should be possible by connecting the MX150 HDMI-out to one of the 5 VP1000 HDMI-in's. All switching being done in MX150 and selection of video output only in VP1000. I can then use Zone A HDMI out to HD-TV and Zone B HDMI out to HD projector. Sources (MVP881, Playstation(s), Sat Decoder) are connected by HDMI to MX150 and in this way I keep also the audio within the MX150. Problem: display and projector (individually or jointly) blinks! Probably due to incription. Can anyone help/advise?

Sounds like a handshake issue. You might try bypassing the MX150 and feeding the HDMI directly from your sources to the VP1000. The MVP881 has two HDMI outs, I believe, so that you can feed audio to the MX150 and video to the VP1000. Then, use optical or digital coax to feed audio from your other sources (Sat, Playstation) to the MX150. The MX150 still handles video and audio switching, provided you feed a data cable from the MX150 to the VP1000.
It's complicated, admittedly. But it does work for my MX136/VP1000 combo, and I presume it's how I'll need to configure my MX150 when I get it. It also allows you to watch different sources in each of your two zones, so that you could, for instance, watch a BluRay in one room and satellite in the other. Or watch the same source in two rooms at once. |
