Default Remove molds in the leather

My sonus grand piano has some molds patch in the leather. Rear lower portion. Suggestions on how to remove them and eventually keeping them off?
Also what’s best to wipe on the leather? Leather care as used for cars or armor all?

Try using a mixture of mild dish detergent like Dawn and water and use a soft toothbrush to carefully remove the mold, then treat area with a quality leather conditioner. Always test conditioner in inconspicuous area first. I would not use Armour All though.

A photo of the infected area might help suggestions.

Best leather cleaner and conditioner out there: leatherique. Google it to find their site. Made for car interior restoration, it’s the hands down choice for concours champions and in the garage of every serious car collector. Also works well on home leather furniture.

I would be careful getting the leather overly wet. You don't want to take the chance of the leather coming loose from the wood. I would wipe them down with a mild soap. Then let them dry in a well ventilated sunny place. Vinegar will also help kill mold.

But I would also be concerned about the room the speakers are in. If there is mold on the back of the speakers, there is probably mold in other places as well. Maybe even inside the walls. This is not a healthy situation.

thabks For the advise and concerns. Speakers were stored in a store room for a good 3 months, it was probably damp there and no light a good several months
