Best car I have ever owned.
I hear you. Not too many places in New England where you can realize the full potential of a TTS other than on a track.

Same goes for the C4S Greg. I’m perfectly happy with 150hp in a 2250 lb car that is my toy. Allows me to enjoy what it has on every sprint to the back roads.

My friend has V6 335hp Miata (Camaro LFX engine swap) track prepped car, which weighs in at 2150 lbs. Better weight distribution and less weight. Let's just say he embarrassed some megabuck cars at all the AutoX events and came in 2nd for the season. I'm not into AutoX and I don't go to the track nearly often enough to justify the need for any more HP. My 4 banger is perfect for what I use the car (RF MX5) for.

I would much sooner get into a Superformance or a Backdraft Shelby Cobra than doing engine swaps as nothing quite matches the thrill of a Cobra. Then again having driven all of them including an aluminum bodied Kirkham Cobra with a 600hp 427, I probably would not be alive for very long if I was to really enjoy what it has to offer. Hence I never pulled the trigger on one. It is impossible to contain yourself once you row through the gears and get to hear and feel the beastly 427 breathing dragon under the hood. Came close to buying an aluminum bodied Kirkham Cobra a few years ago from a gentleman who had a 458 Italia coming to him but decided to pass.

totally understand, if I had a Miata I'd do just a few simple performance upgrades, turbo, suspension, brakes and call it a day !

Last we spoke he said he will be doing less AutoX now not to beat up on the car but more track day events. Yes, WG is on his roster for sure as he lives not too far from it.
