Default Should I do it

I am getting a really good deal for a FACT 3. Is the fact 3 better than the OB1i which I am considering? This purchase will be my first PMC.

Don't know much about the Facts. OB1is are good speakers. If you can swing it, I would look at the pair of EB1is that are for sale in the selling thread.

PMC speakers are fantastic. Good idea to find a size that fits your room.

The ob1i's will have more bass over a fact 3's as a starting point of difference.

I had the Fact 8's and recently sold them. I wouldn't get them again. The frequencies that PMC lists these speakers as capable of may be true, but at significantly reduced outputs. In my opinion there wasn't enough bass. The midrange, highs, and imaging were fantastic, but too many recordings were just too lean and not satisfying.
If you plan on a subwoofer, then maybe the Facts will work great. Perhaps they would sound different in a room that wasn't as bright as mine. They have lots going for them, just not a satisfying bass response for my taste.

Good feedback. I've heard this before about the fact 8s. The fact 12 is supposed to be much better in the bass department. It has all new bass drivers. But man, the price!!!!! More than double the already expensive fact 8.

What did you replace your fact 8s with?
