Default 088 has a new home

found a 088 with a price I just couldn't pass on. tape loop out of c2300 for phono works perfect, i got the sony zx2 running tidal to the 088 dac, everything sounds and looks great! building this little dream system one step at a time.

Congrats, Superb unit. For your guide the fantastic 088's could be equipped with phono module too...

Enjoy the music.

Hi Rocco, I am currently using the 088 phono module with excellent results. Any idea how this compares to other phonos including burmester's 100?

Cheers

Hi Sujay.

The phono module of the 088's in really outstanding and I love it. I never had the opportunity to make an A/B comparison with the 100's. I think the 100's being a separate/dedicated phono stage unit with a lot of settings should be better. For sure such unit (100's) is the best phono stage made by Burmester ever.

Hi Rocco, great to hear back from you. Good to know that. As I said, I am loving it but dont have a reference point, though I suspect the 100 will be definitely better as you say.....but for a price I am not willing to pay as of now given my foray into analog has just started a couple of months back. Maybe in due course I may bite the bullet, who knows!

Cheers mate
