Beautiful cartridges, great pics. The Japanese attention to detail is precise.
I just received my Acoustic Revive RR-777, direct Japanese import. I should of taken a pic to show how it was wrapped! Meticulously folded & wrapped in rice paper & gold ribbon with & hand written letter of thanks on rice paper too. Last edited by MyPal; 02-05-2013 at 05:36 AM. |

One thing about Koetsu, the workmanship on the cartridge itself is superb, and their attention to accuracy is so rigid they do not accept simple retipping for a broken stylus tip. They rebuild the whole thing, disassembling the unit and realigning the parts to brand new levels. So nothing, even in this rebuilding aspect, is cheap. So careful NOT of accidentally break your Koetsu or it will hurt your pockets. They do not provide fancy aluminum of metal case boxes or elaborate pieces of papers with 'measurements' or tools. So the price is simply for the cartridge itself. No frills.

I see I will have to get my paint box out, and go to work on my Koetsu Black.

My own Rosewood Signature up close.
Koetsu also had its own tonearm. And its own step up transformer.
