Default RMAF 2019 Gaylord Rockies Convention Center

Well heck, I guess it's not too early to start the RMAF 2019 thread for next year. Reason for the advanced notice is that in case you haven't heard or read, RMAF is moving to the brand new Gaylord Rockies Convention Center in Aurora, CO. It's about a 10 minute drive from DIA so it's very convenient not to mention you don't have to go through or around Denver if you're coming from the airport. Here's a link to the resort itself:

https://www.marriott.com/hotels/trav...ention-center/

It really looks spectacular and is sure to be a massive upgrade from the Marriott Tech center, not to mention that it's much more family friendly as well with the restaurants, bars, spa, water park and other amenities. If it looks close to as nice as the pictures on their site, then it should be a really fun time for all. Forum member Rob has mentioned that the rooms are selling out so wanted to get this out here for those who want to attend so you don't wait until the last minute to book. I would have to assume that just being at a nicer resort hotel would bring a bigger crowd.

Hey Buck,
That's an artist's imagination at work. I see the Gaylord under construction every time I head to the Denver airport. It's massive and will be a true destination hotel with lots of great amenities. It will be a massive upgrade from the previous venue. It is located on the flats South and East of the Denver Airport, so a ways from the city and the mountains.

I booked at $256 for partial mountain view. I think I saw a 230 rate as well. Those were Marriott member rates through the Marriott website.

Guys, FYI, I have been in touch with Marjorie from RMAF, and she advised me that RMAF is in the process of securing "room blocks" at the Gaylord. She also says that the RMAF web site will be going live in January with a link to the reservation room block. She didn't say anything about prices, but I assume they will be at a significant discount from what you can now get on the Marriott web site.

They add fees to that and it ends up being 324 a night lol. Oh well. I'll suck it up and book soon.

I booked two rooms......bringing the family! I hope all the amenities are complete or there’s gonna be some serious family boredom!
