Absolare
I am intrigued by these beautiful and apparently beautiful sounding pieces. Has anyone got any experience with them?

They were wonderful at CES this year, with Magico S5 and MSB digital.
Even though the MSB wasn't setup properly, it was still one of the best rooms at the show. alexandre |

They look absolutely gorgeous and paired with high-end gear.
Though, from afar, the preamp can be mistaken for a tissue box ... |

Beautiful equipment and exquisite construction. However, I was not very impressed at RMAF as I visited their room several times over the weekend. They were driving Rockport speakers.
Interestingly, several major audio magazines reported that they really loved the Absolares at this same show. Maybe it was my timing...

I've never heard their gear, but they definitely have some of the classiest looking gear out there. The leather wrapped preamp looks stunning!

Most reviewers gave it the thumbs up at shows. I wonder how it compares to, say, Kondo Gakuon which is also 50Watts a pair but much more expensive.
Would love to demo a pair. |

Howie,
I really wanted to like this gear but every time I visited the room at RMAF, the sound was not very good. Other AA members agreed with me. In one of the visits, bias was being adjusted. Maybe they finally got things working well and, therefore, the positive comments by the press. It is gorgeous gear just haven't heard it sound as heavenly as it looks.

Howie...Robert Harley at TAS reviewed the Absolares at home with the Magico Q7s over 4 months and was completely into them. Here's his review: http://absolare.com/img/TAS_Review.pdf

Hmm, I am dropping by Singapore & have written to the dealer there to request for an audition.
