Dubious Acoustics
The acoustics of this room must have been as terrible as that one of the room Tidal used for demonstration at the Munich High End Show 2012. What was your impression?

"I don't get inspired of Tidal. For me, they are very dry, to dry. They make everything detailed but with to less love." On this particular Hi End Show there was several rooms with speaker half the price that played better. In this Tidal room they had actually made some corrections of the acoustic, but seldom at shows it's enough. They also had a smaller room with a smaller Tidal model. Here it sounded better but still like Tidal. I have heard Tidal on several occasions. They are always correct but I don't get the good feeling for the music. Other brands make this much better. But this is just what I think and not the universal truth. At this level it's always plays well. It's just a matter of taste. Still it's my impression. |

Thanks a lot for your opinion Apexorca. This will finally motivate me to look to other brands.
For instance at the Munich High End Show 2012 I was very impressed what I heard in the Foerster Audiotechnik room. Seldom heard this kind of lively, precise, spacious and in the end very lovely sound. I only asked for Tidal impressions since these loudspeakers are hyped elsewhere. Can't understand that. Thanks again for your post. |
