Listen to the speaker at low, medium and high volumes and you will be amazed at how the soundstage never changes. It is always full. Whether you like tubes, solid state or a mixture, I believe the neutrality of these speakers will bring out the best in the electronics. They even sound great with the "paltry" 1.2KW's.
So how does the C4 compared to the Futura?

Great guys by the way! Audio Video Alternatives just picked up the line but Dan Fink has always been a huge fan of Dynaudio and was responsible for getting the product into his store. So far they have just the new Focus but I have a feeling it won't be too long before they expand to other Dynaudio models, specifically the Confidence products.

I hope they decide to carry more inventory than they do with Meridian. A lot of my HT gear came from their original store many years ago.

Both are remarkable speakers and at the top of their class. It is just personal preference and totally subjective.
I have heard several speakers well over $50,000 a pair and, if they were offered to me for free, I would easily choose the C4 for my room. The sound, finish and style have all surpassed my expectations.

Howard,
Check out my Stereophile-related post. John Atkinson effectively said the same thing about the C4s at CES; that C4s compete with speakers costing 3-4X their price point.

'Course, we knew that all along, didn't we?
