Default It's time

I finally made a change I have resisted for many years. It has become increasingly difficult to buy CD's in brick & mortar stores (in my area), plus I dearly love my Esoteric player. So a Lumin U1 found its way into my system and is mated to the 585's DAC. I'm very happy that it is every bit as good, if not better than my player. The convenience of a NAS Drive with hundreds of albums was one of the driving factors in this decision. At this time I'm using a 75 ohm, RCA cable and can't wait to try an AES/EBU balanced cable. Very thrilled by this adventure and the choice of Lumin.

Did you get rid of your Esoteric player?

No I have one of the last K05's in black, when ordered there were just two in stock. I truly love this player and enjoy spinning discs. A K03x or K01x would be the only reason to part with it. That said the Lumin is great and will be just as enjoyable.

Congrats on the Lumin, I felt the same way before the DCS Rossini player entered my system....there is just too much music out there to not take advantage of, especially when you take into account both Tidal, Qobuz and your NAS drive. I've listened to a lot of stuff I really enjoy which I may not have otherwise found. It's really a lot of fun.

When I came to the realization of how much music would be at my finger tips there was no turning back. Lumin includes access to most of the major streaming sights and I will take advantage of them too.

Thanks: Tom D.

Qobuz accounts for about 80% of my listening time now....
