Default Accuphase E-270 Impressions

Some pictures of my new E-270. I will follow with a few short write ups with images. I've owned a few Accuphase units over the years to include a couple A-20Vs, A-50V, C-2420 and a DP-410 and will compare build quality to those I have experience with.

The hefty box arrived in excellent condition with the typical ANA freight sticker attached (for it's travel to the US), as you would expect from Accuphase. Packing was very similar to the DP-410 or the C-2420. I'm always impressed how good the boxes are from them (likewise from Esoteric or Luxman). My old A-50V box was very rough looking but always kept the amplifier protected (even at 110lbs). The E-270 came wrapped in Accuphase fashion with a protective cloth cover.

This is a heavy integrated amplifier for its size. Dimensions are identical to Accuphase's other regular sized offerings (preamplifiers, cd-players, etc). The front face plate is the same champagne color, with high quality glass front similar to the C-2420. Sides are somewhat glossy finished metal exactly the same as the DP-410.

It's hard to see in the photos, but Accuphase really stuffed a lot of components into this integrated. The large square transformer housing is almost touching the inside of the top cover.

I looked over every square inch and couldn't find one rub mark, scratch or imperfection.... it's in absolutely perfect condition, which one should expect.

Congratulations! ...simply beautiful!
Your right about the packaging.. The material is several grades higher than most I've had experience with.
Do we have to guess what you'll be doing until the early hours of the morning ? Enjoy!

Very nice.
What sources/speakers will you be using?

No speakers at the moment (just headphones). Just ordered a DP-430 from Ivan so that will be my primary source when it arrives.
